After going through the group stages without conceding a goal, the Super Eagles falls short on the WAFU 2017 final day as ten-man Ghana retain the title with a 4:1 win.

Nigeria Rabiu Ali's last minute's free-kick goal was never a consolation for Nigeria football fans who were looking for a better performance on the last day of the competition.

Ghana was the deserving winner but the home Eagles surely learned a lesson from the tournament as they prepare for CHAN 2018.

The worst scenario would be for Super Eagles to disband this group of players that have already gotten this experience and scout for new once instead of strengthening key areas for CHAN 2018.
