JP Voltes scored 5 at McKinley Hills Stadium as Kaya FC B finished strong in a friendly.
JP Voltes Marikina FC Satoshi Otomo is a player to watch in the PFL after their 5:0 defeat of Kaya FC B in a friendly game at McLinley Hill Stadium.
Kaya started the game with a 4:2:3:1 formation while JP Voltes started in a 3:5:2 shape.
Right from the first whistle what you would notice was that Kaya FC midfielders were clearly not as gifted as JP Voltes.
The key players for Kaya were the two central defenders, however, the one with the greater height stood out as the best performer in the build up as he was always looking to pass the ball wide or through the defensive midfielder. He was quick to form an exciting impression as he stood out amongst the rest on the side with great composure, technique and leadership quality.
However, with JP Voltes leading and running rampant, his quality became weaken. The early goals had destabilized him and his Kaya teammates. And as the midfielder’s lack of mobility became obvious, he was forced to play long balls forward to their disadvantage.
The two JP Voltes central defenders were tall and strong. They were the real boss for the team. The identity was obvious with the one, two touches of play, and the team spirit was clear.
JP Voltes pushed Kaya to defend deep early in the game with the fast attacking play but the difficulty to break Kaya defense saw the first goal for Voltes come from 20 yards to the middle of the net 10 minutes from the kickoff. Voltes doubled the lead 5 minutes later when a long pass beats Kaya defense to Voltes attacker as they were trying to keep the off side track and the attacker finished it calmly to the bottom of the net from close range. The third goal came before the break with a brilliant header in the 6-yard box through a cross from the right wing while the fourth came when our man of the match Otomo after beating the defender send a brilliant pass to his teammate in the box as he finished it with a left foot. The JP Voltes right fullback who was not afraid going forward added his name to the scoresheet to make it 5 when Kaya players failed to clear the ball at the corner flag.
The better side of Kaya was the group that played the last half. They forced Voltes to many mistakes. The young midfielders who were dynamic, with great movement took over the midfield from Voltes and were just unlucky not to have a consolation with many attempts before the end of the game.
There were a number of young great players in this kaya FC last group but because of lack of numbers and names on the Jersey, it was difficult to know who they were.
At the end, Kaya should be happy and encouraged especially from the display of the young players who were brave in the last half, while all the PFL fans should look forward to watching JP Voltes Otomo in the League.
