Global FC defeated Magwe FC 1:0 at home in the AFC Cup 2017 while Ceres FC settled for a 1:1 draw aw
After a disappointing yet fruitful exit in the AFC Champions League Preliminary stage round two to Brisbane Roar of Australia, Global FC turned to AFC Cup 2017 with a 1:0 defeat of Magwe FC at home in their first game at Rizal Stadium, Philippines.
The Global Captain, Misagh Bahadoran scored the only goal of the game in the 39 minutes of play when Matthew Hartmann found him in the box with a beautiful cross from the left wing and the in form scorer made no mistake by getting the ball to the top middle of the net from close range after his left footed first touch away from the rushing defender.

Elsewhere Hanoi FC and Ceres Negros FC settled for a 1:1 draw.
After a goalless first half, Bienvenido Marañon gave Negros FC of Philippines the lead in the 49 minutes from a close range assisted by Super following a corner but the home side Hanoi FC of Vietnam fought back to a level term with a world class goal from Nguyen Van Quyet in the 57 minutes of play assisted by Loris Arnaud with a headed pass.
