WFL Philippines: Ceres Crius FC and Manila Tala FC settled for a 1:1 draw on match day 10.

WFL is becoming more and more competitive and interesting with the influx of former UFL players who are either playing in the League to maintain their football fitness or settling in the competition.

Ceres Crius FC took on Challengers Division Leader Manila Tala FC that is fighting for promotion to the elite level at the Turf BGC Taguig on Sunday afternoon which was filled with drama as both sides struggled to take a lead before the break but lacked that finishing touch in the final third.

Coming into the game as less favorite, Ceres took the lead early in the second half when Manila Tala conceded an own goal.

Ottuyemi Emmanuel that was putting pressure on Talas back lines as they conceded the own goal had a glorious chance to make it 2 for Ceres Crius but his left footed effort from close range went wide.

The Nigerian Defensive Midfielder Anthony Okoh who is known for his competitive and fighting spirit headed home Manila Tala free kick from the corner flag to secure the club a 1:1 draw,

Tala went close to snatching victory close to the stoppage time when their left attacker was left facing the Ceres goalkeeper but he fired the ball wide to the right corner.
