Open letter to the Champions, Global FC as they take on Tampines Rovers tonight in Rizal Stadium in
As Global FC of Philippines is ready to take on Tampines Rovers of Singapore in the AFC Champions League Preliminary stage in the Rizal Stadium tonight in a match that only the winner will progress to the next game, there is a lot of pressure and expectation from Global FC team after winning UFL League and UFL Cup in 2016 season.
While going into the competition as the first Filipino club to appear in this level of the game has brought a lot of excitement in the Global FC camp, translating the privilege and honor into performance in the field is what will make the difference and what will make all the fans that will be in the Rizal Stadium to support the club proud.
It is not an easy match for both teams but Global FC has the upper advantage being that they did not have to travel, they will be playing at home, in a familiar pitch, and in front of their fans while Tampines Rovers will only be relying on their performance in the pitch and the notion that they have beaten Global in their two meetings.
Global will have to keep in mind before the kick off that they do not have time to grow into the competition but to grow into the game right from the first whistle. The match has to be treated as the final game should they hope to progress.
